What do all those initials in the names of the goats and descriptions mean?  Here are a few explanations:
SG means "Superior Genetics", a designation made by ADGA  when a doe is in the top 15% of her breed.
Initials in the middle of the name typically stand for the sire of the goat; for example, WRN means Wind Ridge Napoli.
2*M means the doe earned her milk star through DHIR milk test (we test once a month).  The number in front of the star shows how many
generations have earned their milk stars. For example Katrina is a 10*M, meaning she is the 10th generation in her line to have consecutively
          earned a milk star.
GCH means the doe has earned 3 championship legs through ADGA-sanctioned shows (We don't have any of those...yet!)
LA means Linear Appraisal, which is a scoring system ADGA uses to evaluate a goat in specific physical traits that affect structure, production
and longevity.  These culminate in an overall score between 0 and 100.  (100 would be ideal--and unattainable.)
          LA Overall Score meanings:
          59 and Below = Poor
          60-69 = Fair
          70-79 = Acceptable
          80-84 = Good Plus
          85-89 = Very Good
          90 and Above = Excellent
For example, Elan was 5 years and 2 months old (05-02) when she scored 91 and was "Excellent" in the 4 main categories (EEEE).
DNA means we have DNA-tested the goat to verify parentage and/or to see what type of Alpha S1 Casein they will produce.  For Casein, A and
B mean they produce high amounts, E means they produce moderate amounts, and F is low.  01 means they produce NO Alpha s1 Casein.
