Pastured Chickens
We raise meat chickens in one of our pastures, moving them daily to fresh grass. The chickens are fed corn and soy-free feed and do not receive any antibiotics. Our whole family (and a few committed friends) help process them, vacuum-sealing them into bags and freezing them.
In 2022 we raised 130 meat chickens and we raised 80 in 2023.
We do not plan to raise meat chickens in 2024.
